Herts Open Studios is HVA’s flagship event, held in September each year since 1991. For three weeks, artists and makers open their studios and venues across Hertfordshire, and the event attracts several thousand visitors.

For three weeks only, artists open their doors to the public, offering a rare opportunity to see where and how art is made. From painting and printmaking to ceramics, jewellery, textiles and more, you’ll find an inspiring array of work in studios, homes, galleries and pop-up venues.

Whether you’re an art lover, a curious visitor, or simply looking for something different to do, Open Studios is a chance to:
