An Open Submissions Exhibition at the Upstairs Gallery 19 September to 19 October 2013.

Recently launched, the site is supported and endorsed by all eleven of Hertfordshire’s local authorities, as well as Arts Council England, University of Hertfordshire and Watford Palace Theatre.

Applications are invited for The Guild of Jewellery Designers Contemporary Jewellery Exhibition from goldsmiths, silversmiths and jewellery designer/makers working in any materials.

Studios space (for 'clean' work as carpeted), rooms available for workshops or sessional use, large ground floor area suitable for pop-up exhibition opportunity.  Reasonable rates as the premises are offered on a 1 month notice basis, until commercial letting arranged.

Call for entries for the Courtyard Arts 8th Open Exhibition to be held 11 - 27 April 2013. 

The Welcome Foundation support collaborations between artists and bio-scientists to create new art work, with Small Art Grants of up to £30,000 for projects, usually with an educational angle. To do something on this scale would probably involve a number of members of HVA.

Did you know that the University of Hertfordshire has an art shop on site which HVA members can make use of?

Arts Funding for Libraries will support projects that stimulate ambitious and innovative partnerships between libraries and artists and/or arts organisations, encouraging communities to participate in cultural activities. The funding will run from September 2012 until March 2015.

Voluntary Arts is proud to announce that the Epic Awards 2013 are now open for entries. The Epic Awards are open to all amateur art and craft groups in the UK and Republic of Ireland and they are free to enter.
