Henriette (Jetty) Busch

My work is influenced by landscapes and architecture. I work with different media – paint, photography, digital and often combine different images - parts of paintings, photographs or digital images - and juxtapose these with one another to change the original image, yet retain a recognizable element of it. By exploring the relationship between the reality of a place or object and the imagined memory of it, quite plain images are transformed into something “rich and strange”. Drawing, using layers, different textures and colors is also a major element in my work.
