Just back from the Lucian Freud exhibition and must say, wow, what an impression it has left on me!

In a world obsessed with appearance and how to make things look good, Freud stands on the rare side of those who prefer to look at the world, or to be precise, at people in a black & white way. Of course, his “black and white” is anything but literal, as he stands as true genius when it comes to the way he uses colour to depict people.

Members of the Textile Group are hosting an exhibition at Mill Green Museum. Mill Green, Hatfield AL9 5PD from 22 April - 24 June ... and taking Textiles outdoors !

A mixed media exhibition including ceramics, collage, paintings and work created during an artist residency in the Azores.

An exhibition of original paintings, sculptures, photography and limited editions by Beryl Cook OBE.  There will be an opportunity to meet the artists on the evening of Wednesday 16 May 6-9pm.

HVA member June Faulkner completed a project to create images and hangings for Barnet General Hospital.  The project, led by the Kings Fund with the Department of Health, aimed to enhance the healing environment end of life programme.
