Paintings by Paul Crook 4 May - 29 June 2013

at SPACE² Gallery, Watford Museum, 194 High Street, Watford WD17 2DT

Paul was born in Wigan Lancashire. He studied a BA(Hons) Fine Art at Falmouth School of Art, Cornwall and an MA in Fine Art at Birmingham Polytechnic. He is now based in Leamington Spa, where he has a studio and works as a lecturer in fine art at Warwickshire School of Art.

Since graduating from university his paintings have been selected for exhibition in the UK and internationally. Recently he has been awarded two national art prizes and a number of his paintings are included in private collections.

Paul's current collection of paintings deals with the essential properties of painting, such as the manipulation of materials and the production process; at the same time they question the way we understand and engage with the urban landscape that surrounds us.

There will be a 'meet the artist' session at museum at night on Saturday the 18th May 6-9pm as part of the national Museum at Night programme visit for more information.
