'Colour Grids' 25 June - 6 July 2013

A collection of entirely new paintings and collages by Brazilian artist Lue Cunha which explores in-depth the world of colour at Courtyard Arts in Hertford.

In this very abstract showing of her work, Lupe immerses herself in this fascinating world and explores temperature, tone and saturation. She works primarily with non-figurative shapes influenced by artists such as Patrick Heron, John Hoyland, and Mark Rothko, being inspired by these artists to push her own work into a very personal statement through this intense exploration of colour relationships and visual language.
