What will I need to take part?...
Prior to the course start date, once you have booked your place you will receive a list of recommended yarn and other materials required to complete the course. This will not be extensive or expensive list! just some information on suitable types of yarn and quantities you will need. If you prefer to be sent a course pack containing a selection of weaving yarns and kit this can be ordered at the time of booking for an additional fee.
Want to give it a try, but don’t yet have a loom?...
A Modern Ashford Rigid Heddle loom 40cm width or sampler style (narrower) can be provided to you for the duration of the course – you will be required to pay a full deposit for this loan service, which will be refundable on safe return of the loom. None of the weekly loan fees will apply if you book a weaving course though. (Please note this service is currently only available in the North Hertfordshire area).
We will be working in small groups of 2-8 people, so everyone can get individual attention and assistance, however if you would prefer to book this course with individual tuition this option is also available through my website.
