I am a prolific artist and would love to share my vibrant, uplifting art & craft work in my lovely home. I create art from fabric waste & recycled textiles and am a passionate believer in sustainability. You will be able to see fabric collages wall art, stitched collages, colourful bowls, rag rugs, fabric necklaces, high quality greeting cards, and examples of wearable art in the form of jackets, waistcoats etc., all from textile waste.
My working studio is in my home & you will be able to see it as well as some work in progress! I am happy to do brief demonstrations!
I am a public speaker with many talks, all related to textile sustainability, my art work, my passion for travel & my profession as a Medical Doctor, specialising in Histopathology.
Images of my work have appeared in international calendars, magazines, journals, etc.
I was awarded the British Empire Medal BEM in King Charles’ birthday honours in 2023, for promoting fabric art, sustainability, and charity.
All profits from any sales are donated to various charities in the UK & India.
I have had many solo & group art exhibitions in various parts of the UK.
I am a retired Hospital consultant, but have always been interested in art.
I have had no formal training in art, apart from a weekend workshop, but I believe that this gives me a fresh, free, uninhibited perspective to art, in which there are no rules!
I moved to Brookmans Park, a beautiful part of Hertfordshire, just 3 years ago and love it here.
