Having a degree in Art, with qualified teacher status, Debbie Knight has spent the last 6 years focusing on her art and building a body of work. Over this time she has built up a vocabulary of marks which she now uses in her expressive abstract work. She works predominantly in oils, but experiments with mixed media. Whilst her work is ever evolving, fundamentally she returns to the same core themes; she has a deep interest in ancient history, myth and faith, man's origins and common dreams. This, coupled with being a keen observer of the world around us, both natural and manmade, it's stuctures and constructs, all have a voice within her work. Through colour and layering, texture, scratches, adding and removing paint, Debbie builds an image which is open for the viewer to interpret, but shows an outward expression of the drama that has built it. She had a major exhibition in January 2020 at New Maynard Gallery. Her work featured in the June edition of Hertfordshire Life Magazine.
Susan has a BA in Fine Art and a career in art education; she is currently Artist-in-residence at a secondary school in St Albans. Susan is passionate about the expressive power of drawing, a fundamental activity which underpins her own practice. Her art work is inspired by a sense of space, of constant movement, change and the passing of time.
I love to develop my printmaking every time I print. I experiment with new ways of mark making and work in a variety of media. This experimental approach can produce ‘happy accidents’ and the unexpected in my work. Line, simplicity of shape, texture and colour are all evident in my prints.
Silver jewellery designed and hand crafted in Harpenden, some with semi precious stones. I work from my studio in my garden and some of my inspiration comes from the plants and flowers growing there. Quite a few of my pieces are created from recycled silver.

Anna is a fused glass artist who has a passion for creating depth and reflections within her pieces. Most of her inspiration is from the natural world around her and from observing form and patterns found within nature.
