I’m an expressive abstract painter with a deep love for the wild and wonderful outdoors.
I’m at my happiest when I’m outside – walking along a canal, wandering through the woods, or just sitting by a campfire. The colours, tranquillity, and pure joy of nature are what inspire my paintings, bringing a little of that outdoor magic into my home (and perhaps yours too …) For me, painting is like a mini escape – it’s like a deep breath of fresh air or that feeling you get when you listen to a really good playlist.
I don’t set out to paint specific flowers, trees, or landscapes, but rather try to capture the feeling they give me – the calm, the freedom, the little spark of happiness that somehow finds its way onto the canvas. I create my paintings so you can bring that same uplifting, feel-good energy into your own space. Whether it’s a splash of colour for your living room, an abstract landscape that makes you smile when you walk past, or a piece that just feels like you – that’s what it’s all about.
I’m looking forward to sharing some my work with you at the Open Studios in Southern Maltings in Ware. Chatting about nature, colours, and painting techniques always puts a smile on my face! And if you like my style, I’m also open to commissions based on your own colour palettes.
