Gill is a painter working mostly in acrylics, inks, and mixed media, on canvas or board, as well as collage & smaller works on paper. Often process driven, incorporating collage and texture, Gill’s work treads the boundary between representation and abstraction, communicating an emotional and contemplative response to landscape, inviting the viewer to take time, to stop, to look. Although inspired by specific places or locations, her paintings aim to communicate an impression of colours, forms, light, and atmosphere, enabling each individual a personal response and interpretation.
Gill has exhibited and sold work through galleries, exhibitions, & art fairs, in Hertfordshire, Herefordshire, the Eastern Region, and London.
She will be showing some of her work in Kingsbury Barn, St Albans, 6th-8th and 26th-28th.
