13d Barbara Sedassy at Kingsbury Artists

I love making and sharing my art, my vision. I love colour and line and the way it sings together. I work both in abstract and figurative. I draw things/people/animals from life and from memory, resources, and sketchbooks. I think drawing matters. I love drawing people and animals moving. I am influenced by many, particularly Bonnard, Bacon, Hockney, and the Hiltons. I work from things seen and things remembered. I work in many different media, printing, graphite, oil painting, drawing, acrylic painting, mono printing, and in construction and book making, etc. I like words and pictures together like William Blake, and from childhood have made anthologies of poems and images. I have illustrated for others’ written work and made books and cards. I often use Derwent Inktense crayons and block paints as they have brilliant colours and are versatile and permanent. I have original paintings and good quality prints and greetings cards. I work in my studio in my garden and always keep sketchbooks on the go. I love the opportunity to exhibit with Herts Visual Arts. I was at St Albans Art School, Falmouth Art School and Chelsea Art School. I have lived and exhibited in London, and other places in UK, USA, Canada, and Central America.
I will be exhibiting with other artist in the historic Kingsbury Barn in St Albans during the weekends of 19th-21st and 26th-28th.
