The Painting of Charles was shown recently at the Islington Arts Factory
I regularly Exhibit at the Painters and Stainers Hall which I am a Freeman of and at The Society of Women Artist of which I am an associate memeber of.
Painting and drawing from life inspire me to look, see and interpret the world around me.
Drawing from life has always been a way of looking and exploring the world around me. Painting people and vibrant colour is something that I love and is a never-ending journey to continue to improve and express how I view the world around me.
I am an associate member of The Society of Woman Artist, where I exhibit annually at the Mall Galleries. I also show at the Painters Hall for The Worshipful Company of Painters and Stainers. I like to enter relevant competitions, and I am always questioning and investigating different ideas and marks.
Three very different Artists I look to regularly are David Hockney for his use of colour and his vibrant Landscapes and portraits. Cecily Brown for her dramatic painterly figurative scenes. Rembrandts portraits for his use of light and dark, and his dramatic strokes.
