I am primarily an artist in education, promoting creativity, inclusion and wellbeing in the classroom and beyond. I work with diverse groups of all ages and abilities and delivery workshops in a range of media including ceramics. Projects undertaken include working with adolescents with severe mental health issues at the Maudsley Hospital; working with young carers, individuals with dementia and learning difficulties. My own work is highly experimental. I work in mixed media, photography, moving image and 3d. I explore the themes of time, space, object and their relationships through exploiting the potential of the media. Work is often not completely resolved: evolving, changing, transforming, as ideas develop and are influenced by external stimuli and responses. I am interested in the process of making as a journey of discovery and the idea that outcomes are merely pauses, moments of contemplation in the wider experience of making.
