Textile Artist and Teacher
My work is a celebration of the senses I experience when out in the landscape. From the crunchy gravel along a coastal path to the shadows and light dancing on a carpeted woodland floor, my aim is express the beauty of the natural world through the medium of textiles.
I use merino wool fibres which have been felted together either by hand or using a machine embellisher. Work may also incorporate silk scarves, silk fibres, free motion machine embroidery and hand embroidery. Each piece is a unique, handmade personal reflection of the world I see around me whilst out walking.
I live in Harpenden, having recently relocated from Southampton.
