My love for designing and making started early in life. Embroidery, sewing and knitting were amongst my favourite pastimes when I was a girl. Later, I studied Graphic Design at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London and it was at that time I had my first encounter with jewellery design and silversmithing.
I went into jewellery making without any previous training which, looking back at it, was the best thing I could have done. Instead, armed with graphic design skills, computer aided design and the good old embroidery/knitting/sewing expertise I got stuck in and created my first ever jewellery brand called Konarska, after my mum's maiden name. Konarska was noticed by Selfridges fashion department and consequently sold at their stores across the UK. I then went on to study silversmithing, first at Hatton Garden and then St Albans School of Jewellery.
Today I have my own small workshop studio based in Hertfordshire, where I hand-make one of a kind pieces using traditional silversmithing techniques. I'm still learning. My style is influenced by contemporary fashion with strong graphic elements as well as free natural forms, love for colour and fascination with all things ancient.
My pieces are designed to last a lifetime, to be worn and loved for years to come, and to become a best friend forever.
I create one of a kind jewellery pieces, all handmade using traditional silversmithing techniques. I also accept commissions.
