Having concentrated on printmaking for many years, I am currently enjoying the freedom and expression of charcoal drawing, particularly how this medium can be used to suggest the texture of the gnarled old Oaks of Hatfield Park. I am always inspired by light and shadow and how these can enhance shape, depth, texture and atmosphere.
