Growing up in an artistic environment, I spent many years drawing and painting, but it was many years later, in 1996, that I finished an art and music degree where I specialised in stone sculpture. However, after a few years’ gap I resumed my art career but these days I mainly paint.
My work is mostly abstract, contemporary and Impressionist inspired art working in acrylic paint on canvas, board, wood and paper. Additionally, I sculpt soft stone and clay and create collages from nature and found objects.
I love colour and the imagination of what an object can transform. I’ll start with an idea or image, play around with it and then let it take its own journey. I like to immerse myself in the colour and shape of the object I'm painting, trying to discover an alternative of what it could become.
In addition to being a member of HVA I am a member of IMAP in the South of France.
All my art is available to buy and I am available for commissions. Please contact me to discuss more.
