Exhibition and News
As part of my solo show “Vanishing Point” held in the Crypt Gallery in 2021, I launched ‘Grief Letter’ project.
It is an ongoing community-based project where people can share their personal experience of loss and grief in a form of a letter. Each letter will be included in the art installation, helping to promote grief support.

This concept grew out of my own experience of loss, coping with grief and finding light ahead. The process of writing has long been proven to have healing properties. Writing down and materialising thoughts helps release tension, organise mental chaos and decipher traumatic triggers.
Writing the letter addressed to the deceased is a powerful way of diving into subconscious, processing memories, closing some chapters, asking for forgiveness or advice, express anger or regrets or just put your thoughts down without overthinking.

Biography
I am Natalia Millman, a multi-disciplinary artist based in Hertfordshire, originally from Ukraine. My work delves into the philosophy of loss, ageing, and the connection between humans and nature, exploring the role of memories and the energy of resilient grieving. My artistic practice is intuitive, incorporating both organic and non-organic matter, as well as found objects. Throughout my process, I engage in scraping off, reducing, layering, burning, and mending, using these actions as metaphors for the human condition.
For the past three years, I have been a member of Studio Fridays, a mentoring platform for emerging artists. Now, I work independently in my studio in Hertfordshire, where I also participate in community projects such as Grief Letter and The Nature of Memories. Additionally, I run creative workshops for the Ukrainian community.
In October 2021, I held my solo show VANISHING POINT at the Crypt Gallery in London. This exhibition was deeply personal, growing from my own experiences of loss and exploring the ageing mind, body, and the stigma surrounding dementia. I am honored to be the Ambassador of Arts4Dementia, a leading UK charity promoting creativity, where I run monthly workshops in collaboration with Herts Independent Living for people living with dementias.
I regularly exhibit at both group and solo exhibitions, including prestigious events such as the Wells Art Contemporary and the Affordable Art Fair. In 2024, I became one of the artists in residence at Collective Gallery Art in St Albans, where I collaborate with other artists on the gallery programme, community events, and curate exhibitions. Additionally, I continue to contribute interviews and blog posts to various creative and wellbeing organizations and publications.
As part of my research into the subject, I have been contributing to a number of blogs, including, ‘My Journey from Grief to Art’, CHWA Stories, Smart Artists Hub, Tebbs Gallery, Better Together Artists, the Two of Us Podcast.
