Biography
My colourful work includes watercolours, acrylics, mixed media, ceramics and printmaking. My main themes are landscape and nature, colour and light. I work in watercolours, acrylics and mixed media; also ceramics and print making. I studied painting with professional artists in the UK and USA, gaining a BA Hons degree in Fine Art at Hertfordshire University, a post-graduate diploma in printmaking and the City and Guilds Higher Professional Diploma in Ceramics. I was a contestant on Channel 4’s Watercolour Challenge and worked with sculptor Andy Goldsworthy. I have taken part in many solo and group exhibitions in and around London and also a touring exhibition in Scandinavia. I received awards in several national art competitions and have work in both public and private collections (including the University of Hertfordshire and Mount Vernon Cancer Centre). I teach sketching and painting holidays in Dorset and other parts of the UK and teach watercolours on cruise ships. Full details on my website and facebook page. www.helenhalliday.com
