Ravi is a contemporary artist whose work is deeply inspired by her diverse life experiences and passion for capturing the essence of place and emotion. Born in Kenya and raised in West London, Ravi’s journey has taken her across the globe, from studying Medicine in Manchester, short spell in Canada, to living in Cheshire, Hawaii, and now Hertfordshire. Her time spent in these varied landscapes has profoundly influenced her artistic vision.
Specializing in watercolours, acrylics, and pencil sketches, Ravi’s art aims to evoke memories and emotions, inviting viewers to connect with the soul of a place or moment. Her work often reflects her love for nature, her family, and the simple joys of life, such as cooking, good food, coffee and time with friends.
Ravi began her journey in the late 80s using watercolours. In 1996 while living on the North Shore of Hawaii, a place known for its vibrant artistic community, she started exploring abstract art, using it as a medium to express inner thoughts, emotions, and struggles. Over the years, she has developed a unique style that blends abstraction with realism, creating pieces that resonate deeply with observers.
Her work has found homes around the UK, whilst one of her large pieces is displayed in California. She has sold many watercolours, particularly scenes of the Lake District, which have been liked for their evocative beauty.
Ravi’s art continues to explore the interplay between emotion and environment, offering viewers a glimpse into the inner landscapes that shape her creative process. Through her work, she invites others to reflect on their own memories and feelings, creating a shared connection through the universal language of art.
