I am passionate about drawing and painting; art can transport us into a different narrative and time. I am fascinated by faces and love painting ladies, patterns and plants in a playful context, reflecting current trends and mixing those with retro-influences and textures. I love to put freckles on my ladies, as for me, all of these ‘perfections’ make us unique.
I went to university in my twenties, after working as a brand trainer in the creative department of a global skincare brand. I began my art journey at Chelsea School of Art and Design, studying and loving Interior Spatial Design. After a year out to have my first babe, I decided to move a little closer to home, to UH, and have a First Class Degree in Illustration.
Drawn to colour in all its forms, I love layering and blending to create harmonious, and quirky combinations. I also love experimenting in different mediums; watercolour, gouache and pencil being my go-to, but also playing with collage, printmaking, mark-making and digital.
I love a happy mistake :0)
