I am currently exhibiting some of my paintings at Beckford Silk Ltd in Gloucestershire.
I graduated from Cheltenham art college in the 1990’s with a Ba(Hons) in fine art painting and have exhibited in several London galleries including the prestigious Bruton st Art Gallery and more recently the Tabernacle Art Gallery in Notting Hill, and currently at Beckford silk in Gloucestershire.
My paintings explore the interaction of colours with each other and their ground. I am particularly drawn to the colour pallets of India and Mexico with their use of warm and cool yellow and cerise and acid green.
My work has been influenced by that of Howard Hodgkin and John Hoyland and particularly by the late Albert Irvin RA who was a British abstract expressionist painter.
After moving from London in early 2020 I now work from my home studio in Hertford.
I am an abstract colour painter predominately working with acrylic paint.
