Anne is a contemporary, semi-abstract landscape painter.
Her work is an intuitive, loosely based response to the landscape around her. Subjects vary, but often it's a colour, a strong contrast or a linear quality that captures her interest. Observational sketches and photographs act as a reminder and prompt, but are left behind as the painting develops and pursues its own determination.

Anne's most recent work, in the last couple of months, has varied in style and subject, moving between a more realistic approach to an impressionistic one, and exploring diverse locations which she’s visited in the last couple of years.
However much of the work displayed in this gallery is from her series exploring a local river, its movement, surfaces and reflections.

Anne has exhibited locally and in London and is a member of the Wynd Gallery in Letchworth.
