My printmaking reflects my interest and love of gardens, plants and the countryside which began as a child growing up on a farm in South Cambs.
I trained as a Primary school teacher and studied Art as my main course subject while at college.
Renovating an old house, family life and teaching took centre stage for many years but I always have a patchwork quilt as a work in progress. I completed an Advanced Printmaking course in 2011.
As well as my original prints using lino cutting, screenprinting and monoprinting I now screen print a range of home textiles; cushions, tea towels, aprons and shopping bags. Apart from open studio events with Cambridgeshire in July each year and my own Christmas Open Studio, visits to my studio are by appointment all year. I am an experienced, encouraging tutor. I hold lino cutting and monoprinting classes in my studio in Steeple Morden, which are always fun, productive days; details are on my website. I also teach at other venues, including Art Van Go and Oxford Summer School.
