Kerry Lanigan is Director and Founder at Nysa Projects and Trim Tots CIC.

Kerry’s work is focussed on art in health and education and art as a catalyst for social change. Kerry is a socially engaged artist, passionate about ensuring quality artistic engagement is available to all.

Kerry recently produced Arts Council Funded, My Firsts and My Story project with Hertfordshire Libraries and Savour the Flavour, Musical Puppet Show a development of Planet Munch Healthy Lifestyle programme developed as a spin out of UCL Business and the GOS Institute of Child Health.

Trim Tots CIC was formed to tackle childhood obesity through creative education, the team at Nysa developed ‘Planet Munch’ a creative learning environment embodying all that is essential for wellbeing.

Planet Munch Healthy Lifestyle Programme features in the Early Intervention Foundation Guidebook as a suggested programme with 2+ rating & shortlisted for a Shared Learning award by NICE (National Institute of Clinical Excellence).

Kerry specialises in participatory practice and has worked on several pieces of co-creation as an Artist and Creative Producer, with multiple stakeholders. Collaboration is central to Kerry’s work as an interdisciplinary, participatory artist.

Kerry’s work straddles art forms, she works across sculpture, installation art, puppet creation, film and photography to create programmes of community engagement and art works inspired by the natural World.

When not creating in the studio, performing or running workshops in community settings, Kerry advises on bid writing, produces creative projects and develops educational content.

Savour the Flavour – Planet Munch – Musical Puppet Show is about to tour across Hertfordshire, generously supported by Arts Council England.

”My work embraces a diversity of art forms, I find it hard to exist in just one creative domain. I work with all ages and all backgrounds as a community artist and use my workshop/exhibition audiences to sound out my own creative outputs. My work focuses on engagement, fun, interaction and transformation.

I create environmental decor/installations and sculptures inspired by the natural world. The juxtaposition of manmade unnatural sculpture aping the natural world provides an ‘other worldly’, fantastical quality to my work combining storytelling and theatre with visual arts.”
