I’m currently working hard in my home studio and so glad the lockdown is over. Unfortunately, I couldn’t access the studio in Barnet I use during the pandemic, but I’m starting a new course of work there soon. I’m currently painting a new series of landscapes, using traditional techniques and am attending courses at the Royal Academy, which is very exciting.
After an interlude, I’ve started work again on a series of new films, which will appear on my YouTube channel in due course....

My work displayed in 'What Lies Beneath' explores the beautiful iridescence that develops on roman glass when it is buried, which in turn inspired Tiffany and others to create similar effects in the 19th & 20th centuries.
Starting initially with drawings and silk painting, I combined these elements in Photoshop to create digital designs on fabric which I turned into cushions and canvases

Whether drawing myself or drawing my grandsons or setting up a still life, having a purpose build/designed studio has become vital to my practice. Observations, obsessions, distractions, abstractions fuel a programme of discovery within its confines. I am bringing the natural world, literally, into my... Read more
