The Hertfordshire Waste Aware Partnership - recycling textiles short film

A fantastic opportunity has come up for creative individuals in Hertfordshire.

The Hertfordshire Waste Aware Partnership are calling on innovative individuals to create a short film promoting our county wide textiles recycling campaign; ‘The Unwearables’. The winning applicant will be awarded £500! This is a great opportunity for the winning person to refine their editing skills and let loose their imaginations whilst collaborating with a government partnership.
The winning film will encourage Hertfordshire residents to recycle their textiles. Currently, Hertfordshire residents are still sending 7000 tonnes of textiles to landfill each year! The purpose of ‘The Unwearables’ campaign is to break the misconception that items have to be good quality to be recycled in a textile bank. Textile banks take items for both reuse and recycling. We want the tatty textiles; the holey socks, ripped tights, torn t-shirts and many more!
