As part of this year's SustFest (3 weeks in May), an opportunity has arisen for we an art trail in and around St Albans to inspire people to 'reduce' or "reuse' plastics through the eyes of local artists. The idea is to have different pieces of art (any medium welcome, the more the merrier) exhibited inside (wall space or hanging) or as window displays in various venues in St Albans.
HVA supports its members by making them aware of opportunities to display their work, participate in exhibitions, attend art presentations and workshops, join art groups, network locally, and more ...

We are currently interviewing for artists (Fellows) for our Letchworth Studios. Digswell Arts Trust is an arts and educational charity offering low cost, well maintained studios in our two buildings in Letchworth Garden City and Welwyn Garden City providing studios for approximately 26 emerging artists. A number of our studios in Letchworth will be coming vacant during 2019 so we invite artists to apply now, particularly ceramicists who may be interested in our outstanding ceramics facility. (Please note that our studios at Digswell, Welwyn are currently full, but you can still apply and be held on a waiting list, if accepted.)
We look for fellows from a wide range of artistic & creative disciplines that will work well together as we believe that one of the key benefits of fellowship is the support provided by other artists undergoing the same journey, so we will expect you to participate fully in the day to day affairs and activities of the studios as well as participating in events and activities within the local community.
If you are interested in applying and for further information please see ‘How to become a Fellow’ under Fellowship on our website and complete the online application form: https://digswellarts.org/fellows/selection-process/ To ensure that we maintain and fulfill our charitable objectives we require a reasonable commitment and input from our artists, designers and makers, so we try to prioritise applicants who we think will be actively involved and therefore get the most out of the Trust.
