Members' Room

KEEPING you up to date with the day to day workings of HVAF... Jean Prince joins HVAF as a volunteer in the newly-created role of web support for members, and there are changes to news gathering as we say goodbye to Janet Tranter in her volunteer role as Newsdesk.

A new volunteer post created by HVAF to make it even easier for members to promote their work on the website has been taken up by Jean Prince.

Jean's role as Artist's Web Support Coordinator will include helping to improve the website, making it more user-friendly for artists uploading their photos and building their website presence. Jean will also be available to assist artists who require help.

Jean will also liaise with art group leaders to inform members of the benefits of using the website, and will work alongside other volunteers to use communication channels (website, e-newsletter) to publicise their roles and any news related to their activities for the benefit of the members.

Janet Tranter recently stepped down from her role as the HVAF Newdesk. Janet ran the Newsdesk for four years, separating news for the web and the Newsletter.

Janet has been a member of HVAF for six years since graduating from Middlesex University as an illustrator. Janet's work will be shown as part of the Open Studio season.

News from The Indigo Group

Anne Reilly writes

"The Indigo Group met in August to arrange meetings for the next few months. We will have some meetings in the afternoons to facilitate travelling in the winter. A lively discussion followed regarding devoting one's time to art as opposed to 'going out and doing something useful'."
