Congratulations to Kathy Prest, whose work has been selected for the Edinburgh Art Fair this November.  If you missed Marshall Colman at Art in Clay, a chance to catch up with him at CITYMADE.UK in October, and work by Sharon Cohen amongst that selected by the HPFT for their 'Hope, Choice, Empowerment & Resilience' project.

KATHY PREST

Sculpture by HVA member Kathy Prest can be seen on 17 – 20 November 2016 at The Edinburgh Art Fair The Corn Exchange, Edinburgh, EH14 1RJ.  Stand E6 with Skylark Gallery

Kathy was born in London and her passion for dance and the dynamics of movement are the inspiration for her tactile and sensuous sculptures eclipsing all her previous passions.  She uses the enigmatic body of a dancer as it becomes simplified when caught in a moment of time, expressing the joy in the spirit, and beauty of the human figure. Kathy uses strong lines of classical purity mixed with the dynamism and energy of a more contemporary reality overcoming the struggle for spirituality in an over materialistic world.
