HVA Exhibition at The Lister Hospital

The first phase of work by HVA members has recently been hung in the new Endoscopy Day Centre at The Lister Hospital in Stevenage forming a semi-permanent exhibition of work for sale.

At the end of the summer Herts Visual Arts were approached to assist with the provision of artwork for a new unit opening at The Lister Hospital.

The request posed a challenge on two fronts.  1. Many members were on holiday or preparing for Herts Open Studios, and 2. There was the requirement not only for all work to be framed and glazed for infection control purposes ... but also for the glazing to be perspex.

Members rose to the challenge and here are a few images of the exciting range of work on show so far.

Phase two is awaiting installation at a convenient point, as this vital busy unit is now open to the public, this will include work by Sally Bassett, Henriette Busch & Karen Neill.

Our work has been very well received and there may be the possibility to display work in some of the recovery and staff areas.  If this opportunity is of interest to HVA members who were not able to participate intially, due to the time constraint, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you to all the participating artists, with a special thanks  to Christine Watson and her husband Ian who assisted me with the hanging.
