GARDEN SQUARE CRAFT MARKET, Letchworth

New member Stella Swanton has, in association with the Garden Square Shopping Centre recently established the "Garden Square Craft Market" which is being held in Letchworth Garden City's Town Centre Shopping Precinct on the first Saturday of the month.
 
Following the success of the first market, which was took place on Saturday 2nd April 2011, she is currently looking for artists and craft workers who might be interested in booking a stall.  The general foot fall in the town centre on a Saturday is approx. 15,000 - 18.000 people (weather dependant),  the market only offers genuine hand crafted goods & art works for sale, they do not allow any imported or mass produced goods (terms & conditions apply).

Photography4All Competition

Alex Andrijevic, at Bishop's Storford Museum has advised us of this opportunity for photographers.  Media welcomed include photography, photographic collage, photomontage and other photo manipulations.

The prize is a 4 week free gallery space exhibition worth £400.  Applications are now invited with a deadline of 1 December 2011.

Dee Clayton at 75 Queens Road, is seeking submissions to fill the walls of her art gallery space. Exhibitions will last 1 month and then replaced by a new show.
Dee is looking for exciting art and craft work to display.  She is accepting painting, drawing, prints, photography and applied arts.  She is keen to show 3D work and crafts of all type – commercial and contemporary and is currently seeking submissions for work.

OBSIDIAN ART

Obsidian Art, based in Stoke Mandeville, are currently inviting entries for “Out of Africa”.  A themed exhibition of selected fine and applied art inspired by Africa.  Deadline: 14 June.
