'WORKS ON PAPER', Gail Robins

Local artist Gail Robins will be displaying a colourful selection of abstract drawings in the Trestle Gallery Café 9 January - 3 March 2016.  Her pieces, with their interlaced lines often have the aesthetic of maps or labyrinthine diagrams. They are drawn freehand with archival pens over a loose base of ink and paint on paper.

The obsessive repetition of interweaving lines and circles bind the diverse subject matter together, presenting scenarios where opposing forces are bound together struggling for equilibrium.

Entry is free and the exhibition is open during our normal Trestle Arts Base hours, please click here for more information.

'THE EMERGENCE OF MY COMBINED SELF'

by Clare Clark explores the effects of emotional shock 2 - 28 April 2016 at artsdepot, 5 Nether Street, Tally Ho Corner North Finchley, London N12 0GA.

'My pictures are produced by layering digital photographs and using effects to mould the image further.

I wanted to create something expressive and I found the layering process an effective technique. My aim is to build a narrative between the layered images.

These pictures are part of The Emergence of my Combined Self. The project explores the effects of emotional shock and uses the layering to open the lines of communication between the past and the present, allowing a union to emerge.’  CLARE CLARK

Mon–Fri   8.30am - late / Café open: 8.30am - 4.30pm
Sat- Sun 10am - 5.30pm / Café open: 10am - 4pm
