A new gallery has opened in Hertford, bookings are now being taken for a new papermaking course at the Papertrail in Apsley and HVA Members are invited to the Launch Party at the Jewellery Hut.

Six professional local Hertfordshire artists are exhibiting at a newly formed gallery in Hertford. The stationery and art materials shop Colormax, under manager Julie Wright, is branching out to make a small gallery at the rear of the shop to not only complement its position as Hertford’s only art material supplier, but to encourage local artists to show their work.  Julie hopes that the gallery will make a name for itself by showing interesting, reasonably priced works which will not only please art lovers who wish to buy artwork for themselves, but which will also make ideal presents.  In addition to paintings, the exhibition will also include prints and photography, as well as a selection of cards made by the artists.

The six artists taking part in this first exhibition are Herts Visual Arts Members Lupe Cunha, Lotte Farnham, Anne Houghton, Jan Reichmann, Susan Sanders and Ruth Ward.
