SWA ANNUAL EXHIBITION 2014 - JUSTINE LOIS THORPE

HVA Member Justine is delighted to have had three paintings accepted for the Society of Women Artists annual exhibition taking place Thurs 26 June - Sat 5 July at The Mall Galleries (Near Admiralty Arch) LONDON SW1

HRH Princess Michael of Kent will be opening the exhibition and presenting the Awards.

Justine has a busy summer ahead of her, in addition to demonstrating at Childwickbury & Art in Action she will be taking part in Herts Open Studios this September.

REBEL PEBBLE

Rebel Pebble opened its doors to the public on Saturday 3 May 2014 with an exhibition by local artists Glynnis Abraham, Kathy Foster and Keith Liberty.  The shop houses beautiful unique locally handcrafted products and vintage/retro items.  A place for British artists and crafters to display their products in a retail environment at The Pond, Watford, an area undergoing substantial redevelopment as an events and arts space.

WORK BY MANDY WAX INCLUDED IN 'INSPIRED BY....'

A forthcoming exhibition at the Morley Gallery in London will showcase the results of Inspired by…, a national arts competition for adult learners originally launched by the V&A and entrusted to Morley Gallery for 2014. It exhibits over 110 new works of art and craft inspired by pieces from the Victoria and Albert Museum’s collections.  

Having been inspired by an illustration for 'The Little Mermaid', Mandy Wax entered her reduction linocut 'Swim With Me' and of over 440 entries it was selected for the exhibition - which runs from the 20 May to 19 June 2014.
