University of Hertfordshire Galleries are delighted to present, ArtHouse, an exhibition of selected works from the Arts Council Collection exploring the relationship between domestic objects and art.

Artistic interest in domestic objects has far-reaching roots, from Andy Warhol’s soup cans, to Claes Oldenburg’s public art installations featuring large-scale replicas of everyday objects. ArtHouse features works by household names such as Tracey Emin and Yoko Ono, who in their own respective media use the domestic object to push the content and concepts of their art work.
