LIVING CRAFTS 2012
A selection of images from the Herts Visual Arts Tent at Living Crafts this year.
The last meeting was on Wednesday 23 May in St. Albans hosted by Tessa Barnes. Members were invited to bring paintings of rain and/or sketch the sculpture in the garden.
Bel Bluemel in Wheathampsted is hosting the next meeting at 2pm on Tues June 12th with the group working to the theme of 'Celebration'. New members welcome, please email email@example.com
The above pictures were taken at the Sculpture group visit to Derek Howarth’s workshop/studio, at Radlett, where 12 HVA members had a very enjoyable and informative afternoon exploring relief sculpture by making impressions in sheets of clay and then taking plaster casts of them.
The next get together is planned for June 24 when Martin Blindell will be taking us for a little country walk (details to follow) in the environs of his home village. Lots of fresh air, a little exercise, some food and a chance to natter and make plans. If you wish to be added to contact list please email Paul at firstname.lastname@example.org
Future dates will be confirmed but currently the scheduled hosts are: JULY - Norman Emms; AUG - Dawn Dominic; SEPT - John Farnham.
There is no formal group leader as hosts are rotating month on month. However it is desirable for the group to be represented at HVA Meetings. If you are interested in this representative role please email email@example.com for a no obligation chat about what is involved.

Over the last few months we have had an increase in new members joining who specialise in GLASS. We a now looking for a volunteer to run / share the running of this group.
We have an opportunity at discounted rate to have a glass blowing day(s) in the autumn, 8 people would be required to make it viable per day, and this could be the first event for this new group.
