Welcome to our combined July/Aug edition of the HVA Newsletter, we resume a 1st of the month publication from September. We had a great opening night for our Herts Open Studios Preview Exhibition, and our thanks go to the Trustees of The New Maynard Gallery for all their assistance in setting it up.
The brochures are printed and in circulation you can pick up a copy at any of these locations or download from the website. To obtain a printed copy email firstname.lastname@example.org with your postal address. Here is a further sample of the glorious selection of work that you can see at Herts Open Studios this September and at our Preview Exhibition running to 5 Sept 2015 at The New Maynard Gallery.
A summer of Art ...
Kathy Prest wins Sculpture Award, Helen Dodds in the BBC Little Painting Challenge, Hertfordshire Artists amongst the exhibitors at Art in Clay, HVA Members in the craft tent at Folk by the Oak ...and our summer postcard from Shetland.
Have you ever wondered how some artists manage to get their exhibition mentioned in the press? Despite the time you spend on publicity, does your event fail to be picked up by local media? Be it local or national, the key to reaching more people in the media is learning how to write engaging press releases. It’s a skill worth adding to your repertoire of marketing activity which should hopefully result in you working with the media to reach many more potential visitors, and hopefully buyers of your work.
