About the artists:

Sir Anthony Hopkins and George Bush senior are just two of the dozens of famous faces Paul Bainbridge sculpted for Madame Tussauds over a period of twelve years. Elected to membership of The Royal Society of British Sculptors in 1995, Paul is also known locally as the sculptor of the figures at Welwyn Roman Baths.
Artist Diane Rafferty specialises in screenprints which appear abstract at first glance, but recognisable images emerge on closer inspection. She has created five collections specially for this exhibition on the themes of London, Buildings, Trees, People and Portraits.

'BEING IN A SWAMP'
an exhibition of new paintings by Eastern Approaches winner,
James Metsoja 19 July - 1 September 2013

'Map Maker' James Metsoja 2013

Being in a Swamp is an exploration of the way memories are constructed and how our experiences of the past can affect our perceptions of the future. Metsoja questions what constitutes a personal memory when the images we recollect can so easily be remembered incorrectly or even invented. Are these paintings souvenirs from the past, or visions of the future?
