PREVIEW

WITH Spring in the air, HVAF gets a new lease of life as Mel Hilbrown takes over from Mike Willison as the new chairman. This issue we find out how Mel's background will help forge the way forward for HVAF.

The second lecture in our series of talks comes from one of the country's leading artists, Professor Ken Howard, who will be sharing some revelations with the audience throughout the evening...not to be missed.

And with applications now in for Open Studios 2010, there's a large taster event coming up in June in the form of the Art, Sculpture & Craft Exhibition at Kingsbury Barn, St Albans where members will be showcasing their work. Deadline for submission is 1 May. Check the HVAF website for more details about this event or contact Linda Warminger. The event is already featuring an exciting line up of HVAF artists who will demonstrating areas of specialism from cartoon illustrations and calligraphy to Tiffany glass demonstrations. More on that in our next issue at the beginning of June.
