The Barnet Collection is hosting A Day with Althea Wynne, one of very few British sculptors producing large ceramic figures using the coiling technique.

The event will be held at St Mary's Parish Hall, Hendon Lane, Finchley, London N3 on Saturday 17 April from 10.00am to 4.00pm.

Althea's work is sited outdoors and is fired to a high temperature to render it frostproof. The stoneware clay becomes at least as durable as Cotswold stone and is much less costly than bronze.
