About the  Artist

Judith, now in her 70’s, retired in 2008, enabling her to develop her love of painting wildlife and domestic animals. Her pastel paintings are of many endangered species.  She loves to paint eyes and is not satisfied until the animal comes to life on her easel. For inspiration she uses a variety of reference material from her visits to South Africa and Zambia as well as sketching and painting the local countryside and wildlife here in the UK.  She has recently returned from Botswana where she was gathering reference material for future paintings.

Judith is a keen conservationist and supports a number of wildlife charities through her work.

Her recent successes include:-

Exhibited Finalist in The David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year

Exhibited at The National Exhibition of Wildlife Art

Finalist in The International Artist Magazine Wildlife Art Competition

Has exhibited in the UK, the USA, South America, Russia and South Africa.

She has work published in Indonesia and Columbia as well as being featured in a number of projects concerned with animals on the IUCN Red List.
