Amy graduated from De Montfort University in 2005, with a BA Honours in Fine Art. Although
she started her degree as a painter, her final years work evolved around 1000 faces that were
photographed of the public in the Shires Shopping Centre, Leicester. The work took form in video,
photography, photo manipulation and very obscure sculptural vacuum-formed plastic faces!
Continuing a creative career in Graphic Design and now a full time Project Manager in Publishing,
Amy endeavored to pursue her love of acrylic painting in her spare time. Working as a commission
artist since 2002, her portfolio is varied and exciting. Artwork has been shipped to Scotland, Germany, America and even as far as Australia and New Zealand.
In recent years Amy has developed her own unique signature style in vibrant abstract paintings and
her playful compositions have been compared to one of her favourite artists, Kandinsky. Her most
popular and successful paintings to date are from her beloved capital, London Series that began in
the exciting Olympic Year of 2012 and she continues to add to.
In 2013 Amy was approached by Helen Meissner to sponsor the Folkstock Music Festival. With her
graphic skills Amy was able to create a Folkstock logo based on her largest paintings 'Piano'.The now
recognised imagery has been on stage backdrops, t-shirts and even on cakes at Folk events. Plus Amy
has recently developed more imagery for music album and single covers for local Folk musician.
In June 2014, Amy had her first ever solo art show in her hometown Welwyn, Hertfordshire during
the 40th Village Festival. Amy loves to work on commission, for clients who love her colourful ways
it's something extra special. 2015 was her busiest year to date for new commissions, plus the start
of a new direction of 'on white' paintings.
New abstract paintings are produced annually and displayed in exhibitions. Original paintings, limited
edition prints and greeting cards are stocked annually in Hertfordshire's Mardleybury Gallery,
Datchworth and Niko Brown Gallery, Ware. Amy also sets up a market stall before Christmas at
London's famous Camden Lock Market or at the Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane.
