Rhodes Centre Exhibition 5 - 23 September 2006
A three-week exhibition to showcase the work of artists across the county. Tues 5th - Sat 23rd September 10.00am - 5.00 pm Tuesdays to Saturdays only
A foretaste of the wealth of fine and applied art, sculpture and photography produced by artists across Hertfordshire. Some of the works will be for sale with collection at the end of the exhibition or by arrangement with the artist.
Exhibiting artists will be available on a rota basis to discuss their inspiration and working styles. Local community groups and schools are invited to make appointments to talk with artists whilst viewing the exhibition.

Exhibition 4-15 July 2006 - St Albans Festival
The exhibition is by members of Herts Visual Arts Forum and will be held in the centre of St Albans at the Old Magistrates Courtroom at the Town Hall, Market Place, St Albans, AL3 5DJ. Open 10.00 - 5.00pm each day (closed Sundays). It is being organised as part of St Albans Festival and is supported by Lottery funding through Arts Council England.
The exhibition will include a wide variety of 2D and 3D artwork including selected pieces from a range of media: painting, drawing, ceramics, mixed media, sculpture, printing, photography, glass, wood and more.

An invitation to the Business and Local Community: Royston Area Visual Artists
5th August and 31st August - 1st September 2007
This project is being run by Royston Area Visual Artists and includes:
A market stall on Royston Heath , in conjunction with Royston Photographic Society, at the International Kite Festival on 5th August 2007, 10.30am – 4.30pm, Royston Heath. Activities will include the production of portraits of members of the public.
A Business Event, 5.30pm – 7.30pm, on Friday 31st August 2007, with invited local companies, the Old Bull Inn, 56 High St, Royston.
A Community Event, Friday 31st August 8.00pm – 9.30pm, Saturday 1st September 2007 all day, open to members of the general public, the Old Bull Inn, 56 High St, Royston.
An interactive public event on Royston market, Saturday 1st September 2007.

Insight @ the Maltings
Saturday 15th - Sunday 16th September 2007 (subject to confirmation)
Over the weekend of 15th - 16th September, members of Insight, our lens and digital media group, are running an interactive event in the Maltings shopping centre in St Albans. Some of the work will involve participation by the general public. Planned activities include:
Banners, which will be an artwork - and also a publicity tool
An artwork based around footfall - people will be invited to have their feet photographed, the photographs will be printed out in situ on an A6 dye-sub printer and assembled into an artwork
A sound installation - using the bandstand
A ‘size 0’ installation - using a skeleton and mannequin head
Pavement art - involving the public in creating a raised relief mosaic, with St Albans and the Maltings Centre as subject matter
Performance art - using body paint and costume to create a character to mingle with shoppers
A piece about identity - where the public is asked to respond to a question - the answers to be written on cards, which will be assembled into the final artwork.
A projection piece about shopping
A display of further photographic and video material where appropriate
