Mylene Goodman studied Fine Art and sculpture at Hornsey College of Art, then trained as a shoe designer in London and Milan, Italy, where she acquired her professional name: Milena.
Later she became interested in Ceramics, taking various courses and gaining a City and Guilds Diploma from Harrow College.
Her work is mostly based on the human form, from which she draws regularly, as she considers life drawings as important to artists as scales are to musicians.
She has recently opened a small arts centre in Finchley, North London, in which she intends to promote, teach practice and exhibit a wide range of arts and crafts.
