Silk Scarf (Hand Painted)
On moving to London in the 1970's she took up painting having attended the Camden Arts Centre. For the next few years she followed other interests outside art, although related, which included purchasing antique rocking horses and restoring them to their original standard, prior to taking up sculpting five years ago. During this time she has attended courses at Oaklands College, the University of Hertfordshire, and the Hampstead School of Art.
Anthea has undertaken a variety of commissions in terracotta, bronze resin and bronze since establishing herself as a portrait sculptor of both people and animals. She has also designed gates and rose arches, which have been worked in wrought iron. Recently she took up Silk Painting.
