Statement:
I work mainly as a painter but also use printing and collage. I find that one medium helps the other. My present work follows a visit to St. Ives Cornwall. However, whatever the starting point for a painting, the content also relates to my experience in the world as it is now. Modern reality seems to be made up of instability and uncertainty, and I believe that my work echoes the gamble of everyday life. As a painter I allow chance and accident to enter the action of painting and drawing.
