Keith Hornblower

I am a figurative artist working predominantly in water colour and specialising in architectural subjects (a Fellow of the Society of Architectural Illustration), although I will paint whatever takes my fancy, trying to capture the mood and character of the subject without getting bogged down in details. I love the spontaneity of water colour - it's a risky business and I sometimes paint the same subject 3 or 4 times to achieve the result I'm looking for.

I was born in Hitchin and have always lived in the area, so I guess I'm a true local artist, taking much of my subject matter from local towns, villages and countryside.
