Susan Erskine-Jones
SUSAN ERSKINE-JONES
Painter/Printmaker
Susan began her artist training in South Africa. She gained a distinction in printmaking at Natal Technikon before moving to Cape Town where she studied printmaking under Pippa Skotnes of Micheallis University.
Since moving to the UK she has studied a further year at Amersham College, Buckinghamshire, concentrating on painting for which she gained a distinction.
Susan continues to work in both printmaking and painting. She is inspired by the landscapes around her. The canals and lakes provide the basis for a lot of her work. The resulting artworks are sometimes recognisable as landscapes and sometimes they are abstract but always it is her response to the environment that drives the development and final image of the work.
Susan also offers printmaking workshops. Information can be found on her website.
